{"id":5294,"date":"2025-08-07T11:40:52","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T10:40:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.alker.co.uk\/?post_type=projects-delivered&#038;p=5294"},"modified":"2025-08-07T11:46:51","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T10:46:51","slug":"awe","status":"publish","type":"projects-delivered","link":"https:\/\/alker.co.uk\/?projects-delivered=awe","title":{"rendered":"AWE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About The Company<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) plays a crucial role in nuclear defence, providing the warheads for the UK\u2019s nuclear deterrent Celebrating over 70 years of service to our national safety and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Problem<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The client needed to communicate from internal to external of a vessel, for micro experiments requiring perfection in the quality and communication through the fibre optic terminations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mission critical fibre optic product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alker fine tuned each one of the 12-14 processes. Tailoring each process to achieve the highest accuracy for each of the processes involved. As a result the losses were 0.1db (98% transmissions) or better for each and every one of the 183 ends in both directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results were so high and consistent and in both directions for each of the 183 ends, even AWE questioned the results.
