With an industry reputation for taking on challenging projects that don’t have an ‘off-the-shelf’ solution, we regularly work with military and defence departments on mission critical projects where progressive problem-solving and tight deadlines are notoriously inseparable.
Commissioned by MOD departments to troubleshoot damaged assets and provide rapid in-field solutions that help avoid severe consequences, it’s not uncommon for these solutions to benefit from fast-track delivery or our “jump-the-queue” service.
Mission critical readiness in action
Our project for BAE Systems is a great example of our approach to this unique type of challenge, highlighting our efforts to ensure the end users are equipped to maintain and repair mission critical assets in the field.
As a leading global defence, aerospace, and security company, BAE systems is the UK’s largest defence contractor producing major systems like the F-35 fighter, Eurofighter Typhoon, and submarines.
We worked with BAE to repair mission critical fibre optic components on the Typhoon fighter jets, rebuilding harnesses within a flexible double interlocked stainless steel outer jacket to ensure reliability and improve performance in harsh conditions.
The in-service team were also fully trained on how to inspect and repair damaged fibre optics to help ensure mission critical readiness.
