Deployable Fibre Optic Repair Kits

Bespoke fibre optic solutions built around your engineering challenges

A rugged, hexagonal black case with a textured surface, secured with black straps and featuring a carrying handle, representing a portable repair kit for field use.

Innovation in the field

Our latest MOD approved product for in-field repairs, this self-contained fibre optic kit provides all the necessary tools and equipment for the end user to perform their own repairs to accidental damaged fibre optic assemblies in theatre.

Extending the life of your assets

Designed to help extend the in-service life of your equipment, removing the need to replace an entire assembly eliminating long lead times and unexpected costs, this kit is cleverly stored within a carry case which also doubles as workstation.

Stored within a hub-less lightweight backpack (used to house fibre optic cable harnesses) our kits are designed to repair multiple fibre count cables using inline fibre optic enclosure and includes a Splice Pipe for both non and armoured fibre optic harnesses (assemblies)

Using patented technology for the design of the Splice Pipe also provides a flexibility that allows the finished repair to mould to the drum when the repaired cable is wound back on the reel.

An open, hard-foam tool case containing various specialized tools for fibre optic assembly and termination, including orange crimping pliers, arranged neatly within custom-cut foam inserts.

Suitable for unskilled personnel

This kit comes complete with instructions, designed so it can be used by unskilled personnel with minimal one-day training. Everything is mechanical, there is no need for power or adhesives so it can be used in harsh and extreme environments.

Designed to be used with Alker Micro Armoured fibre optic multi-channel cable. Simply cut back the damaged area and prepare each end, then strip, clean and cleave the fibres, then insert within the mechanical splice protectors. Grip the fibres in place within the mechanical splice and place the repaired fibres and splice protectors within the chassis, then slide over the splint, tighten the glands to the splint and seal the glands to the cable. Then wrap the repaired fibre optic cable back on the reel. Replace the splint and cleaning wipes within the kit and return the kit to the reel, ready for its next repair.
