Accidents happen and when they do, we can help. The Alker team frequently repairs damaged or broken fibre optic harnesses considered to be beyond help.

Industry leading support

We hold a range of stock parts from a vast array of fibre optic connectors and cabling, these include telecoms, military 38999, expanded Beam, through to obsolescent connectors. We also have an engineering workshop, where we can produce one off parts in house which saves time.

Using our extensive fibre optic knowledge, learnt over the last 40 years working with all types of fibre optics, we have saved 85% of customers damaged products in house at our fibre optic repair facility based in Surrey, UK.

Fast turnaround for reduced downtime

We are known for our quick response in dealing with broken harnesses and assemblies, we understand the importance to have the product back in use as quickly as possible and reduce downtime wherever possible.

To save sending the products to Alker or where it’s not viable, we also take our repair expertise on the road and fix onsite emergency fibre optic troubleshooting and repairs around the country.

In-house servicing

We also have several ways to repair cut fibre optic cables at your home or business using our range of inline fibre optic splice enclosures which can also include hybrid copper and fibre cables. Almost all our enquiries for repairs are of a bespoke nature and we are fluent in diagnosing fibre optic faults and producing a solution to get them back in service.

We provide in house and onsite servicing of fibre optic products and networks where we clean, inspect and test all fibre optics. This produces improved performance and greater reliability for every customer having had this service carried out.
